Keep it simple. Keep it metal.

Blek Goat Wednesday Tunes – August Burns Red

I could wait for a few more days and write “This Week’s Band On Repeat” featuring August Burns Red, but I couldn’t hold myself back. I am pretty sure this whole week will be all about ABR over here. I am aware of these guys for a long time, but I don’t know why I never gave them a listen. I literally heard their music just a few days ago. Although metalcore is not really my thing, but oh man, August Burns Red sure are heavy. Heard quite a few songs from them already and funny thing is, I like all of them. Maybe it’s because I learned that they are a metalcore band long time ago and decided to not give them a go in believe that I won’t like them anyway. Don’t get me wrong, I am probably open to way more music that you are, I just try and skip some genres, which aren’t my thing, since there are some many amazing bands out there. I am already loosing track what bands I already listened to in the past and giving all of them a go will cause a serious chaos.
I am happy I finally pressed the play button and listened August Burns Red’s “Beauty In Tragedy.” This was my first ABR experience followed by “Provision” and many others.
I always say, give bands a chance. Listen to their music even if others are saying they don’t like it. If their music isn’t your thing, stop listening and don’t start whining about it. I wish day would have at least one extra hour, so I could dedicate it to discovering more “new” bands.

August Burns Red is a five piece metalcore band from Manheim, Pennsylvania formed in 2003. They are Jake Luhrs, JB Brubaker, Brent Rambler, Dustin Davidson and Matt Greiner. Currently they are working on a new album titled “Found In Far Away Places” that will be released on June 30, 2015. Stay tuned.
